Maybe, but if so it will be a prequel book featuring Harry's father James (or perhaps a sequel featuring Harry's son, also named James Potter).

WB say they know about it but won't say if it is their site. It is though very sleek and reminds me of JKR's website.
ETA: Is it a hoax, a fan-novel, or something else? Whatever it is it isn't a eight book.

Hoax. If you reset the date on your computer past the countdown's date, then you can log in. Would it be that easy if it were real? And the website is registered to someone in PA, according to whois.net
Don't really care. If it turns out to be a hoax then its a hoax. It is still intersting.
And if you have gmail, you have no reason to be a anon on blogger.
Hoax or not, there is obviously a market for more Harry Potter.
